Sarandiev

The "Sarandiev" Winery was founded in the summer of 2020, with the first harvest of the wonderful Merlot variety leading to the creation of the first "Tear" series. The winery is located in the village of Dimitrovche, in the municipality of Svilengrad, known for its high-quality grapes. The winery's capacity is 15,000 liters of wine.

The name of the winery is inspired by Sarandi, the father of the owner, who established part of the vineyards used in wine production. After planting new vines in 2017, he shared his dream of building a small winery, which was later fulfilled. The vineyard estate spans 100 decares (10 hectares), where varieties such as Merlot, Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc, Dimyat, and Hamburg Muscat are grown.

The vineyards are situated on the southern slopes of the Sakar Mountain in the Maritsa River valley, with southern and southeastern orientation. The climate is favorable due to the proximity to the river and the mountainous terrain, with dry periods lasting about 290–300 days per year.

The first "Tear" Merlot series was launched on the market in 2020. Aiming to satisfy even the most discerning customers, they introduced the new "Tear" series, including white, red, and rosé wines, known for their exceptional freshness and natural aromas. The series features varietal wines from Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc, and Merlot, as well as blends of Merlot and Marselan. These wines carry the warmth of Thrace and the breeze of the Sakar Mountain, combined with traditional winemaking methods revived by the local winemakers in the Svilengrad region.

The winery team aims to produce high-quality wines as close to natural as possible, demonstrating to lovers of Bulgarian wine that good wine is made in small family wineries from quality grapes and with a lot of hard work.
