Alexandra Estate

The beginning of the Alexandra Estate winery was set in 2012 with the purchase of 200 decares of first-class vineyards in the Sakar region, known as one of the best wine regions in Bulgaria. In 2013, Alexandra Estate expanded with another 100 decares of vineyards in the village of Rakitnitsa, Stara Zagora region, situated at an altitude of 300 meters. The carbonate-rich soils of these vineyards contribute to the excellent quality of the grapes, which include varieties such as Cabernet Franc, Syrah, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Sauvignon Blanc, Chardonnay, and Sémillon. These varieties bore their first fruit in 2016.

Vinification at Alexandra Estate is carried out using proprietary French barrels with capacities of 225 and 300 liters. All wines ferment and age in barrels, with even the rosé being partially fermented in French oak. Vineyard management is overseen by Atanas Shiderov and Eric Moreau, while vinification and blending are handled by Alexander Velyanov and Thierry Haberer.
